Metzger에게 받은 편지

다음은 프린스턴 대학교에 본문비평학자인 Bruce Metzger에게 받았던 옛날 편지.

PRINCETON THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY

May 17, 1994

Dear Mr. Ki Cheon Kim,

Thank you for your letter of May 12th, informing me that you would be willing to translate my book, Breaking the Code, into Korean, if I gave you permission to do so.

I do indeed give you permission to translate it, but you must also get permission from the publisher before it can be published in Korean.

The prerequisite is that a Korean publisher must sign a contract with The Abingdon Press. Perhaps the publisher of the previous books that you have translated into Korean would agree to do this. The procedure is for the publisher (at your suggestion) to write to inquire about the royalty that is required by Abingdon. The address is:

Ms. Bernadine Shaw Abingdon Press P.O.Box 801 Nashville TN 37202

If plans go through for you to make the translation, I would like to have information as to any future address at which you will be living, now that you have graduated from Wesl Theological Seminary.

With all good wishes,

Sincerely yours,

(Signature) Bruce M. Metzger

P.S. I may say that about 15,000 copies of the booklet have been sold during the past six months since publication in English.
